Oasis Scholarship is a scheme launched by the Government of West Bengal to provide financial assistance to students from the backward classes of the state. The scholarship aims to encourage and support the education of students from SC, ST, and OBC categories.
Under this scheme, various scholarships are provided to students from Class 9 to the postgraduate level. Some of the scholarships under the scheme include pre-matric and post-matric scholarships.
The Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal has also launched a portal through which students who belong to the SC, ST, and OBC communities and are residents of West Bengal can apply for the scholarships.

Eligibility for Oasis Scholarship 2024 – 2025
The eligibility criteria for different categories under the Oasis scholarship are,
Pre-matric scholarship for SC students
- The student should be in classes 9th and 10th and should belong to the SC category.
- The student’s family/guardian’s income should not be more than ₹2 lakhs per year from all sources.
Pre-matric scholarship for ST students
- The student must belong to the ST category.
- The students of classes 9 and 10 are eligible to apply.
- The student’s family/guardian’s income should not be more than ₹2 lakhs from all sources.
Post-matric scholarship for SC/ST students
- The candidate must be studying at the post-secondary level and belong to the OBC category.
- The candidate’s family/guardian’s income should not be more than ₹1 lakh annually from all sources.
Post-matric scholarship for OBC students
- The candidate must belong to the OBC category and should be studying at the post-secondary level.
- The candidate’s family/guardian’s income should not be more than ₹ 1 lakh annually from all sources.

The scholarship amounts to the SC/ST/OBC students of West Bengal under the Oasis scholarship scheme are,
